Concentration factors of marine products for Pu and Am

From the result of marine products collected offshore Tokai-mura from 1987 to 2004, the concentration factors (CF) for Pu and Am were calculated and compared with the past CF. The CF of flatfish, shellfish and seaweed for Pu were calculated larger, comparing with the CF obtained about 20 years ago. It is suggested that the radionuclide in the interstitial water, bait and sediment as well as in the surface seawater would be greatly transferred to these bottom marine products in case of very low concentration of the radionuclide in seawater.
